091456 3:07 AM. Fire Alarm: Morrison Hall. A police officer responded to an activated fire alarm. The responding officer observed the horns and strobes activated. It was determined that the cause of the alarm was due to overcooked food in the basement level lounge. University Park Fire Department responded and rest the panel. Closed.
091457 11:26 AM. Theft: Hughes Trigg Student Center. A Computer Corner staff reported the theft of 2 laptops, s pieces of software, and a protection plan. Open.

091466 5:44 PM. Fire Alarm: Kappa Sigma House. A police officer responded to a silence beeping alarm panel. Two different trouble alarms were sounding at the panel. Both alarms where then silenced. Closed.

091498 2:14 AM. Public Intoxication/Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle/Driving While Intoxicated: Off Campus/ Lovers at Greenville Avenue. A non affiliated man was issued a Justice of the Peace citation, arrested and booked into University Park jail for being intoxicated in a public place. Another non affiliated man will be charged at large for driving while intoxicated. Both men will also be charged with possession of alcohol beverage in a motor vehicle. Closed.

Failure to Obey a University Police Officer/Non-Criminal Drug Policy Violation: Phi Delta Theta House/3072 SMU Blvd. A Police Officer reported a strong odor of marijuana emitting from two rooms. The police officer heard people inside the rooms and he announced himself and asked them to open the door, there was no response. The two rooms were referred to the Student Conduct Office. Closed.

091504 11:27 PM. Harassment: Patterson Hall/3128 Dyer/SMU Police Department. A faculty member reported receiving a large amount of e-mails from a student after learning he was failing her class. Open.

Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Alcohol Policy Violation: Phi Delta Theta House/3072 SMU Blvd. Six students were referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking. One of the six students admitted the alcohol inside the room belonged to him and he will be referred for possessing the alcohol by a minor. The house was referred for alcohol policy violation. Failure to Obey a University Police Officer/Non-Criminal Drug Policy Violation: Phi Gamma Delta/3064 SMU Blvd. A Police Officer reported a strong odor of marijuana emitting from a room. As the officer walked up to the room an unidentified male opened the door looked at the officer and then slammed and locked the door. The police officer knocked and announced his presence and asked for him to open the door, there was no response. A student was referred for failure to obey a University Police Officer. Closed.

091538 10:11 AM. Hazmat Accident or Spill: Embrey Engineering Bldg./3101 Dyer Street. A box in a room was leaking and the label on it said it contained Hydrochloric Acid. The Officers evacuated the building and University Park, Highland Park and Dallas Fire Departments responded to the scene. Eagle Construction and Environmental Services Hazmat Spill Response arrived to clean the spill and removed the box containing the Hydrochloric Acid. Closed.

091542 11:32 PM. Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Possession of a Fictitious ID: 6000 Bishop. A non affiliated person was issued University Park citation for driving under the influence by a minor and for possessing a fake ID. Three other non affiliated minors were also identified and all admitted to consuming alcohol. They were released to a parent at the scene. Closed.
