090392    10:16 PM.    Fire Alarm:    McGinnis Hall/2nd Floor.    University Park Fire Department responded and determined the smoke detector was activated by smoke from burnt popcorn.  Firefighters, reset the fire panel with no further incidents.    Closed.

090393    11:05 AM.    Breach of Computer Security:    SMU Police Station.    A student reported someone has hacked into her Hotmail, Gmail and Face book accounts and has changed her password.  Also attempted to use her credit card number online but was unsuccessful in the attempt.  Open.

090402    5:44 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Mary Hay Hall.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm and determined it to be a malfunction.  The fire panel was reset and firefighters cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

090417    4:25 AM.     Fire Alarm:    Perkins Administration Bldg./Ground Floor Mechanical Rm.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined a piece of machinery with steam activated the smoke detector which cause of the alarm to activate.  University Park Fire Department were unable to reset the fire panel due to continuous steam.  Campus Planning & Plant Operations was notified.    Closed.

090419    2:09 PM.    Fire:    Perkins Administration Bldg./Basement Mechanical Rm.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  University Park Fire Department said steam from two pipes activated the smoke detector , causing the alarm to activate.  Campus Planning & Plant Operations was notified.     Closed.

090421    7:29 PM.    Indecent Exposure:    6600 Dublin.    A female student reported a white male exposed himself.    Open.

090422       9:21 AM.     Possession/Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of Substance in Penalty Group 1:    Shuttle Hall.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Officer for possession of substances and drug paraphernalia found during an administrative search.    Closed.

090425    3:41 PM.    Theft:    SMU Bookstore/Barnes & Noble.    A staff member reported an unknown female left the store without paying for a multicolor day bag.    Open.

090426     3:22 PM.       Fire Alarm:    Chi Omega House/3014 Daniel.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  The fire panel at the house only indicted a trouble alarm.  No sirens or strobes were activated.   It was determined the fire panel was malfunctioning.   Firefighter checked the building, reset the alarm and cleared with no further incident.  Closed.

090433    12:54 AM.    Fire Alarm/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    Sigma Alpha Epsilon.    University Park Fire Department responded to an activated fire alarm.  It was determined the smoke detectors were activated by smoke from burnt food in a microwave.  During the evacuation a wallet was found with fictitious identifications. The owner of the wallet who is a student was referred to the Student Conduct officer for possessing fictitious identifications.     Closed.

It was determined it was caused by a burned chicken pot pie that was found in a trash can near a microwave.  The Firefighters reset the alarm and cleared with no further incident.  Closed.

090508    12:37 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Chi Omega House/3014 Daniel.      University Park Fire Department responded to an activated fire alarm.  The fire panel indicated a water flow trouble signal.  The cause of the alarm is unknown and it was determined to be malfunctioning.  The panel was reset and the fire department cleared with no further incident.   

090510    3:14 PM.    Theft:    Off Campus/CVS/3000 Mockingbird.  University Park Police responded and took a theft report of a carton of cigarettes.

090511    2:39 AM.    Fire Alarm/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License of ID:    McElvaney Hall/600 Bishop.  Three students were refusing to evacuate on an active fire alarm and were referred to the Student Conduct Office.  One student was issued a University Park citation, arrested and booked into Highland Park jail for underage drinking and referred to Student Conduct Office for possessing a fake ID.   The second student was referred for underage drinking.
