081072 12:33 PM: Warrants/Criminal Trespass/Theft- Class B/Obstruction: Perkins Hall. A staff member called to report he witnessed an individual stealing a bicycle from the bicycle rack in front the residence hall. SMU Police apprehended the suspect and he was arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail. A University Park resident also reported seeing the same individual exiting a backyard with a bicycle. University Park Police are charging the suspect for that theft also. Closed.
081074 8:10 PM: Attempted Robbery: 3000 SMU Blvd. A student reported a vehicle with three individuals in it was trying to run him off the road while he was riding his bicycle. The student said the car stopped and he got in an altercation with the driver and the passengers. The student said the individuals tried to steal his bicycle but he got it back after another vehicle pulled up behind the suspect's vehicle and then the suspect's vehicle left the scene. Open.
