070242    12:30 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-$499):    Junkins Engineering Bldg.    A student reported her wallet was missing from her backpack.    Open.

070243    12:47 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a MInor/Driving Under the Influence by a Minor:  Contractor's Lot.    Two students were cited.    Closed.

070244    6:57 AM:    Criminal Mischief - Class B ($50-$499):    Moody Parking Garage.    The north exit gate arm was damaged.    Open.

070245    4:19 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-$499):    Hughes Trigg Student Center.    A student reported her cell phone was stolen.    Open.

070247    2:01 AM:    Driving Under the Influence by a Minor:    6100 block Ownby Street.    A student was cited.     Closed.

070248    7:57 AM:    Criminal Mischief - Class B ($50-$499):    Gerald J. Ford Stadium.    Someone knocked over a lamp pole.    Open.

070250    2:52 PM:    Failure to Leave ID (at accident scene):  Commuter Lot.  Someone caused damage to a student's vehicle and failed to leave identification as required by law.  Open.

070254    10:40 AM:     Theft - Class A ($500-$1499):    Fondren Science Building.    A computer system was stolen from a conference room.  Open.

070259    7:01 PM:    Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse:  Park Cities Plaza.  Someone used a student's Pony card to make unauthorized purchases.  Open.

March 7

070262    1:22 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  Boaz Hall.  A student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for underage drinking.  Closed.

070263    5:03 PM:    Theft - Class A ($500-1499):  Collins Executive Education Center.  Someone entered a locked office and stole a briefcase containing an Ipod and a laptop computer.  Open.

070265    6:32 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  Dedman Center.  Someone stole a student's SMU ID.  Open.

March 8

070267    4:03 AM:    Criminal Trespass:  Maguire Building.  A non-affiliated man was arrested and transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

070268    9:33 AM:    Theft-Class B ($50-499)/Criminal Trespass:  A staff member's office was entered without authorization.  Another staff member reported property was stolen from an office area.  Open.

070269    2:08 PM:    Criminal Mischief:  Umphrey Lee Parking Lot.  A student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for damaging a boot he tried to remove from his vehicle.  Closed.

March 9

070271    2:06 AM:    Aggravated Robbery (Firearm):  3100 Daniel Avenue.  Unknown suspects approached a student in the lot, pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse.  The student was able to run to a nearby cab and was not harmed.  None of her property was stolen.  The unknown suspects departed the area.  Investigation is ongoing.  A crime alert was issued this date (see Crime Alert 03/09/07).  Open.

070272    3:55 AM:    Public Intoxication/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Evading Arrest or Detention/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  West Quad Lot.  Two students were arrested and transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

070276    7:35 PM:    Theft-Class C (Less than $50):  Fondren Library.  Someone stole a student's keys.  Open.

070278    7:51 AM:    Theft-SJF ($1500-19999):  Umphrey Lee Center.  Several silver catering sets were stolen.  A suspect has been identified, and the property has been recovered.  Closed.

070283    2:37 AM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):    Hyer Hall.  A non-affiliated man was arrested and transported to UP Jail.  He was also issued a criminal trespass warning.  Closed.

070287    9:04 AM:    Criminal Mischief:  Binkley Avenue Apartments.  A non-affiliated woman reported someone shattered the front windshield of her vehicle sometime between 2:30 AM - 9:00 AM.  A suspect has been identified.  Open.

070290    1:58 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499)/Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse:  Fincher Building.  A staff member reported someone entered her unsecured office and stole her wallet.  Her credit cards were later used to make unauthorized purchases at off campus department stores.  Open.

070294    10:37 AM:    Illegal Use of Handicapped Placard:  South Quad Lot.  A student fraudulently used a handicap placard to park in a disabled parking space.  Judicial Referral.  Closed.

070296    4:05 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:  2900 SMU Boulevard (parking lot).  A contractor reported someone burglarized his vehicle and stole stereo equipment.  Open.

070297    8:18 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  Kirby Hall-bike rack.  A student's secured bike was stolen.  Open.

070298    12:41 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-$499):    Owens Art Center.    A student reported the theft of her wallet from an unsecured room.    Open.

070300    3:18 PM:    Illegal Use of Handicapped Placard:    3100 University, Meter 19a.    A student was referred to the Judicial Officer for fraudulently using a handicapped placard.    Closed.

070301    3:32 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-$499):    Owens Art Center.    A student reported the theft of her wallet from an unattended desk.    Open.

070321    3:41 AM:    Criminal Attempt:    Dedman 3 Parking Lot.    The window was broken out of a vehicle.    Open.

070326    6:17 AM:    Illegal Use of Handicapped Placard:    West Quad Lot.  A student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for fraudulently using a handicapped placard.

070327    12:30 PM:    Assault:    Umphrey Lee Center.  A non-affiliated female reported she was assaulted in the dining hall on 03/23/07.  Open.

070328    1:22 PM:    Assault:    Hughes-Trigg Student Center.  A student reported another student assaulted him after a verbal exchange.  Open.

070330    5:54 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499)/Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse:  A staff member reported her wallet and PDA were stolen from her unsecured office.  Credit cards were used to make unauthorized purchases at off campus locations.  Open.

070332    4:58 PM:    Criminal Mischief:    Commuter Lot.  Someone shattered a student's front passenger window on their vehicle.  Open.

070333    9:09 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  Dedman Center-Java City.  A student reported the theft of two sports drinks.  Video surveillance did not show anyone stealing the drinks from the area.  Unfounded.

March 28

070334    10:16 AM:    Theft - Class A ($500-1499):  Umphrey Lee Center.  An SMU rug was stolen from the outside entrance.  The theft occurred on 03/27/07 between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM.  Open.

070335    3:06 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:  Dedman 3 Parking Lot.  A parking decal was stolen from inside a student's vehicle.  Open.

070337    4:35 AM:    Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  A student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for having a counterfeit ID.  Closed.

070338    1:22 PM:    Theft - Class B ($450-499):  3035 Dyer Street.  A 24 hour reserved sign was stolen.  Open.

070340    3:19 PM:    Burglary of Habitation:  3108 University Boulevard.  A student's watch was stolen.  The offense occurred between 03/27/07 at 7:00PM and 03/28/07 at 11:30AM.  Open.

070341    12:21 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  Perkins Hall.  A student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for underage drinking.  Closed.

070343    11:19 AM:    Harassment:    Virginia Hall.  A student received an obscene phone call.  Open.

070344    11:28 AM:    Terroristic Threat:    McElvaney Hall.  A student reported someone called and threatened him.  Open.

070346    2:59 AM:    Criminal Mischief:    Boaz Hall.  Ceiling tiles were damaged.  Open.

070348    3:09 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  A license plate was stolen from a student's vehicle.  Open.
