060603  8:45 AM:    Criminal Mischief Class B ($50-$499):  Moody Parking Garage. A student reported someone damaged her vehicle on April 28. Open.

060606  2:49 AM:    Theft Class B ($50-$499):  Cockrell Hall. A student reported her refrigerator was stolen between April 1 and April 20. Open.

060608    10:19 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  Sigma Alpha Epsilon House.  On 04/28/06, four students were cited for consuming alcoholic beverages during a fraternity event.  Closed.  (Late entry due to data entry error.)

060609    1:48 PM:    Criminal Mischief:  Boaz Lot.  A staff member reported someone damaged their vehicle while parked in the lot.  Open.

060610    6:45 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  Underwood Law Library.  A non-affiliated woman said someone stole her briefcase.  Open.

060611    9:23 PM:    Possession of Cocaine/Possession of Marijuana/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia:  Shuttles Hall.  A student was found in possession of cocaine and marijuana.  He also had drug paraphernalia in his room.  Closed.


May 3

060614    2:32 AM:    Public Intoxication/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  Moody Parking Garage.  A student was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.   Another underage student was arrested for consuming alcoholic beverages. Both students were found in possession of counterfeit identification.  Both students were transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

060616    6:46 AM:    Sexual Assault/Assault/Burglary of a Habitation (Night):  Smith Hall.  Officers responded to a fight in progress.  Subsequent investigation determined a sexual assault and an assault occurred.  See Crime Alert dated 05/03/06.  Open.

060620    2:19 PM:    Possession of a Fictitious License or ID:  A counterfeit ID was turned into SMU Police.  The ID was traced back to a student.  The student will be referred to the Judicial Officer.  Closed.

060624    4:01 AM:    Possession of Marijuana/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  Two students were arrested for Possession of Marijuana and transported to UP Jail.  Both students were also issued citations for underage drinking.  Closed.

060625    3:12 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  Boaz Hall.  A student was arrested for underage drinking and transported to UP Jail.  Closed.


May 7

060629    3:02 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Criminal Trespass:  Perkins Natatorium.  Three students and two non-affiliated men were found inside the Barr Pool after normal pool hours and while the pool was secured.  One of the non-affiliated men was issued a court citation for underage drinking.  The three students will be referred to the Judicial Officer for Criminal Trespass.  Two of the students will also be referred for underage drinking.  Closed.

060630    12:18 PM:   Criminal Mischief:    McElevaney Hall.  An emergency exit door crash bar was removed causing damage to the exit door.  Open.


May 8

060632    2;33 AM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor:  Binkley Avenue Apartments.  A student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for underage possession of an alcoholic beverage.  Closed.

060633    5:15 AM:    Tampering with Fire Protection System (Fire Extinguisher):  McElvaney Hall.  Someone discharged a fire extinguisher in a hallway without cause.  Open.

060635    5:16 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  Umphrey Lee Center.  A faculty member reported her purse was stolen from her unsecured office.  Open.

060636    8:15 PM:    Possession of Marijuana/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia:  McFarlin Auditorium.  A non-affiliated man attending the "Tool" concert was found in possession of 1.5 grams of marijuana and a smoking pipe.  The man was issued a court citation for the paraphernalia.  Possession of Marijuana charges are pending.  Closed.

060641    2:52 AM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:  3000 Block of Binkley Avenue.  A student reported someone burglarized his vehicle and stole stereo equipment.  Open.

060643    4:40 PM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:  Dedman 3 Parking Lot.  A student reported someone burglarized her vehicle and stole her purse.  Open.

060644    1:21 AM:    Criminal Mischief:  3016 Daniel Street.  A window was found damaged.  Open.

060645    9:12 AM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  Fondren Science Building.  A student reported someone stole her wallet from her unattended backpack.  Open.

060648    3:28 AM:    Driving Under the Influence (Minor):  6000 Block of Ownby Drive.  An underage student was cited for consuming alcoholic beverages and then driving a motor vehicle.  Closed.

060649    8:07 AM:    Failure to Leave ID (at accident scene):  South Quad Lot.  A vendor reported someone struck his company vehicle causing minor damage and failed to leave insurance information or identification.  Open.

060650    3:26 PM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:  West Quad Lot.  A student reported someone burglarized her vehicle and stole a digital video camera.  Open.

060652    6:30 AM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:  West Quad Lot.  A student reported someone burglarized his vehicle and stole the stereo.  Open.

060653    10:02 AM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:  3000 Block of SMU Boulevard.  A student reported someone burglarized her vehicle and stole his stereo faceplate.  Open.

060654    1:30 PM:    Criminal Mischief:  Peyton Hall.  Maintenance staff reported a broken window pane on one of the first floor windows.  Open.

060671    4:30 PM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:  2900 Block of SMU Boulevard.  A contractor reported someone burglarized his vehicle and stole a tool box and a bag of work clothes.  Open.

060672  8:01 AM:  Criminal Trespass:  Old Movie Theater.  Officers arrested and charged a man with Criminal Trespass after he was observed on the property.  The man has been previously issued a criminal trespass warning and has sixteen warrants.  He was transported to the Dallas County Jail.  Closed.

060673  22:19 PM:  Theft - Class B:  Peyton Hall bicycle rack.  A student reported her bicycle was stolen between May 12 and this date.  Open.

060674  1:31 AM:  Criminal Trespass:  3100 Block of Binkley Ave.  Officers arrested and charged a non-affiliated man with Criminal Trespass after he was found on campus.  The man has been previously issued a criminal trespass warning.  He was booked into the University Park Jail.  Closed.

060675  1:42 AM:  Driving Under the Influence (Minor)/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Arrest on Warrant/Criminal Trespass Warning:  6500 block of Airline Street.  Officer's stopped three non-affiliated people when the driver of the car failed to follow several traffic laws.  The driver was cited for DUI minor, one passenger was cited for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor and the other passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant.  Closed.

060685  12:29 AM:  Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle:  3200 block of Dyer Street.  A non-affiliated woman called and reported she found a SMU owned golf cart parked in her front yard.  Officers drove the cart back to campus and returned it to the Images Office.  Closed.

060686  12:18 PM:  Theft-State Jail Felony ($1500-$19,999):  Owens Art Center.  A staff member reported two benches were stolen.  Open.
