March 1

060307    2:07 AM:    Driving While Intoxicated/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  6000 Ownby Drive.  A student was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to UP Jail.  She was also cited for having a counterfeit driver's license.  Closed.

060310    4:03 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:  3000 Daniel Ave-Sorority Lot 1.  A student reported someone burglarized her car and stole the GPS unit.  Open.

March 2

060313    2:28 AM:    Graffiti/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia:  2933 Binkley Avenue.  Two non-affiliated women were arrested for spray painting on the walls of a building, dumpsters and doors in the area.  Both underage women were also cited for consuming alcoholic beverages. One of the women was cited for having a smoking pipe with drug residue in it.  Closed.

060317    2:15 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  Owens Arts Center.  A staff member reported someone stole a banner.  The banner was later returned to the staff member.  Closed.

060319    7:11 PM:    Criminal Mischief:  Theology Lot.  A student reported someone wrote on his vehicle with an marker.  Open.

March 3

060320    1:34 AM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:  3000 Daniel Avenue-Sorority Lot 1.  A student reported two men were burglarizing her vehicle.  The two men stole two make-up bags.  The student's boyfriend confronted the men and was able to recovered one of the bags.  Officer searched for the men, but did not locate them on campus.  Open.

060321    2:07 AM:    Public Intoxication/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  3128 Dyer Street.  A student was arrested for public intoxication.  The student was transported to UP Jail and was also cited for having a counterfeit ID.  Closed.

060322    2:33 AM:    Assault/Organization Hazing Offense/Possession of Alcohol by a Minor:  Phi Gamma Delta House.  The fraternity is under investigation for suspected pledge and hazing violations.  Open.

060323    3:41 AM:    Assault-Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault:  Phi Delta Theta house.  A student reported her ex-boyfriend, who is also a student, assaulted her.  Amendment:  The student also reported her boyfriend sexually assaulted her.  Open.

060324    3:55 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Evading Arrest or Detention:  Phi Gamma Delta house.  An underage student will be referred for consuming alcoholic beverages and evading police officers.  Closed.

060325    7:26 AM:    Criminal Mischief:  Dawson Service Center.  A staff member reported someone shattered the back window on an SMU vehicle.  Open.

060328    9:51 PM:    Possession of Drug Paraphernalia:  Morrison Hall.  A student was found in possession of a pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana.  Judicial Referral.

060329    2:32 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.  Shuttles Hall.  An underage student was cited for consuming alcoholic beverages.  Closed.

March 5

060333    1:31 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Criminal Trespass:  3110 Daniel Ave-Construction Site.  Three students were found on the roof of the new Kappa Kappa Gamma house.  Two of the students were underage and had consumed alcoholic beverages.  The other student was over 21 years of age.  Judicial Referral.

060335    4:32 AM:    Public Intoxication/Disorderly Conduct:  3000 Block of SMU Boulevard.  Two non-affiliated men were arrested for Disorderly Conduct (Urinating in Public).  One of the men was also charged with Public Intoxication.  The men were transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

060336    12:42 PM:    Criminal Mischief:  Boaz Lot.  A student reported someone caused damage to one of her vehicle tires.  Open.

060337    2:25 PM:    Burglary of a Building:  Baird's Building.  A faculty member reported someone entered the sculpture work area and stole sculpture equipment from an unsecured toolbox.  Open.

060338    9:37 PM:    Failure to Leave ID (at accident scene):  3300 Peyton Parkway.  A student reported someone damaged her vehicle and failed to leave identification information.  A suspect has been identified.  Open.

March 6

060340    4:11 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  Airline Parking Garage.  A student reported her Ipod was stolen.  Open.

060343    8:51 PM:    Attempted Sexual Assault:  On campus fraternity house.  The SMU Police received information from a third party that a male student attempted to sexually assault a female student on 03/04/06.  The female student was contacted and told police she does not wish to pursue a criminal investigation or university judicial action at this time.  Closed.

060342    7:46 PM:    Public Intoxication/Possession of Substance-Penalty Group 2:  Moody Parking Garage.  A non-affiliated man was arrested for public intoxication.  The man was also in possession of 1.3 grams of psilocybin (illegal mushrooms).  The man was transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

March 7

060343    6:53 AM:    Criminal Mischief:  Dedman 3 Parking Lot:  Someone caused damage to the window on a student's vehicle.  Open.

060345    11:13 AM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:  3000 block of Binkley Avenue.  A student reported a broken window on a parked vehicle.  The vehicle belonged to a student who reported some of her property was stolen from the back seat.  Open.

060346    2:46 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  South Quad Lot.  A student reported someone stole her parking decal off of her vehicle.  Open.

060347    4:15 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):    Binkley Apartments.  A student reported someone stole her purse from her apartment on 01/15/06.  The student found her purse in a dumpster behind her apartment.  Her driver's license was the only item missing from her purse.  Open.

060352    9:43 AM:    Theft - Class a ($500-1499):  Kappa Sigma House.  A student reported someone stole his stereo from the common area of the house.  Open.

060353   4:32 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  McElevaney Hall-Outside Courtyard.  A student reported someone stole his wallet.  The wallet had been turned in to the front desk staff at McElevaney.  No property was stolen from the wallet.  Unfounded.

060354    6:28 PM:    Arson:    Law Parking Garage.  An officer saw smoke coming from a trash can in the garage.  The officer extinguished the fire.  The UP Fire Marshal determined the fire had been purposely set.  Further investigation by the Fire Marshal determined a 12 year old juvenile admitted to setting the fire.  Closed.

060356    2:35 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License:  McElevaney Hall.  Three student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for underage drinking.  One of the students was cited for having a counterfeit ID.  Closed.

060357    3:15 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  McElevaney Hall.  Officers responded regarding a noise complaint.  Four students will be referred to the Judicial Officer for underage drinking.  Closed.

060358  7:40 AM:  Failure to Leave Identification:  Airline Parking Garage.  A student reported that someone damaged his car but failed to leave identification information.  Closed.

060361  12:50 PM:  Theft Class B ($50-$499):  Boaz Hall.  A student reported that someone stole her camera.  Open.

060365  1:09 AM:  Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle/University Policy Violation:  Bishop Blvd.  A student was stopped and found to have open cans of beer in his car.  The student was also in violation of several vehicle law requirements.  Closed.

060382  4:57 PM:  Failure to Leave Identification:  Owens Fine Arts Center Parking Lot.  A staff member reported he saw a car hit the card reader causing damage.  The driver of the car did not stop to report the damage.  Open.

060383  12:00 AM:  Criminal Trespass:  Binkley Apartments.  A student reported a man entered her apartment.  When the student confronted the man he ran off.  He is described as a white male, 20-25 years old, 170 pounds, brown hair wearing a maroon long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.  Open.

060384  8:10 PM:  Burglary of a Vehicle:  5800 Block of Dublin Street.  Officers observed a staff member's car was burglarized and a stereo was stolen.  The owner was contacted.  Open.

060387  12:06 AM:  Driving Under the Influence (Minor) DUI/Consumption of Alcohol by Minor/Criminal Trespass Warning:  6000 Block of Bishop Blvd.   A non-affiliated minor was issued a citation for DUI Minor, another non-affiliated minor was cited for Consumption of Alcohol by Minor.  The two men and two other non-affiliated men were issued criminal trespass warnings.  Closed.

060398    7:57 PM:    Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle:  2900 Block of Binkley Avenue.  A student reported someone stole her 2000 Honda Civic.  The vehicle was recovered by Dallas Police Department on 03/22/06.  Open.

060406    11:37 AM:    Burglary of Vehicle:  Alley-3104 Fondren Drive.  A staff member's car was burglarized.  A gym bag was stolen.  A suspect was seen leaving the area with the bag.  Open.

060449    4:18 AM:    Public Intoxication/Possession of Fictitious License:  Sigma Alpha Epsilon House.  A student was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.  The student also had a counterfeit ID in his possession.  The student was transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

060452  2:35 PM:  Criminal Mischief:  Lambda Chi Alpha House.  Members of the SAE House broke out a window in the Lambda Chi House.  House referred to Judicial Affairs.  Closed.
