060001    1:20 AM:  Theft Class B ($50-$499):  Law Garage.  Someone stole the exit signs on the fifth level.  Open.

060002    10:17 AM:  Criminal Mischief:  6500 Terrytown, University Garden Apartments.  Someone damaged a glass door pane in a hallway.   Open.

060003    2:06PM:  Graffiti:  Old theater at 5540 Yale Blvd.  Someone painted symbols on the walls of a portable building next to the theater.  Open.

060004    12:37 PM:  Burglary of a Vehicle:  Contractor Parking Lot.  The burglary occurred between January 1, 10:30 PM and January 2, 12:30 AM.  Electronic equipment was stolen. Open.

060005    3:39 PM:  Burglary of a Building:  Memorial Health Center. The burglary occurred between December 21, 2005, 2:30 PM and January 3, 2006, 1:45 PM.  Open.

060012    8:14 PM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:    Binkley Avenue Apartments, north alley parking.  A student reported her car stereo was stolen.  Open.

060014    12:08 AM:    Possession of Marijuana/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia:    3064 SMU Boulevard.    A student was found in possession of a smoking pipe and 1.9 grams of marijuana.  Judicial Referral.

060017    10:14 AM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):    Fondren Library.    A student reported someone stole his stress relief stones from his secured study room.  Open.

060018    11:54 AM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:    Binkley Avenue Apartments, north alley parking.  A staff member reported his car stereo system was stolen.  Open.

January 10

060019    12:21 AM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499)/Criminal Trespass/Unlawful Use of Criminal Instrument:    6200 block of Bishop, bicycle rack.    A student witnessed a non-affiliated man use bolt cutters to cut a lock and steal a bicycle.  Officers responded and arrested the man.  The man was transported to UP Jail. Closed.

060020    12:21 AM:    Public Intoxication:  6200 block of Hillcrest.  A student was arrest for public intoxication.  The student was also in possession of a counterfeit ID.  The student was transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

060021    7:05 AM:    Theft - Class A ($500-1500)/Criminal Trespass Warning:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports (construction area).  Two construction workers witnessed another worker steal their tools from an unlocked toolbox.  The suspect was contacted and the tools were recovered.  The construction workers do not wish to pursue criminal charges.  The suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning and his employment was terminated.  Closed.

060023    6:07 PM:    Attempted Burglary of Vehicle:  Commuter Lot.  A student reported someone shattered the window on his vehicle.  The glove box was found open, but no property was stolen.  Open. 

060024    9:47 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:    Commuter Lot.  A student reported someone shattered his driver's side window and forcibly removed his stereo.  Open.

060025    11:40 PM:    Criminal Mischief:    Peyton Hall.    A staff member reported someone damage the exit sign on the third floor.  Open.

060026    1:01 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Owens Art Center Parking Lot.  A student was cited for underage drinking.  Closed.

060027    2:31 AM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  Phi Delta Theta House.  Officers responded to loud music at the house.  Three students were found in possession of alcoholic beverages and are underage.  Three students admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and are underage.  One student was cited for underage drinking.  One of the students was in possession of a counterfeit ID.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

060028    5:12 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Snider Hall.  A student was found asleep in the hallway in front of his room.  The student admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and is underage.  Judicial Referral.

060029  7:55  AM:  Theft: State Jail Felony ($1500-$19,999):  Umphrey Lee Ballroom.  A staff member reported someone stole a laptop computer.  Open.

060030  3:28 PM:  Theft: Class B ($50-$499):  Chi Omega House.  A student reported someone stole her cell phone sometime between January 9, 2006 between 8:25 AM and 12:00 PM.  Open.

060032  4:20 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol By Minor:  McElvaney Hall.  Three underage students had consumed an alcoholic beverage.  Judicial Referral.

060033  8:52 AM:  Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse:  Caruth Hall.  A faculty member reported that someone made fraudulent charges on his SMU purchasing card.     Open.

060034 3:53 PM:  Burglary:  University Gardens Apartments.  A student reported someone stole property from her apartment.  This crime occurred between July 15, 2005 and July 30, 2005.  Open.

January 13

060035  1:20 AM:  Use of Fraudulent/Stolen Parking Permit:  Officers immobilized a students car when they believed that the parking permit was stolen. Further investigation revealed that the permit had not been stolen.  The immobilization device was removed.  Unfounded.

060036  2:29 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  Two underage students were consuming an alcoholic beverage in the Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike) house.  Both will be referred for the violation.  Judicial Referral.

060038  3:33 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Disorderly Conduct:  An underage student was observed urinating next to a car in the South Quad parking lot.  The student had been consuming an alcoholic beverage.  Judicial Referral.

060039  4:36 AM:  Criminal Mischief:  Someone damaged a gate arm in the Owen Parking lot.  Closed.

060040  9:09 AM:  Off Campus-Criminal Incident:  UT Dallas Police Department arrested a SMU student at 12:28 AM.  She was booked into the Richardson City Jail for Possession of Cocaine.  Closed

060042    7:20 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  Beta Theta Pi House.  A student reported someone stole his t-shirt.  Open.

060043    7:23 PM:    Theft - Class A ($500-1499):  Beta Theta Pi House.  A student reported someone stole three golf clubs from a secured closet on the second floor.  Open.

060044    4:22 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Disorderly Conduct:  Perkins Hall.  A staff member reported someone urinated on his door.  Two students were observed in the area.  Officer made contact with the students.  One student admitted to urinating on the door.  Both students had the odor of alcoholic beverages on their breaths and are underage.  The students were issued court citations.  Closed.

060045    10:19 AM:    Criminal Mischief:  Beta Theta Pi House.  A staff member reported someone damaged an air conditioning unit on the west side of the house.  Open.

January 15

060046    5:47 AM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Evading Arrest or Detention/Criminal Mischief:    Cockrell Hall.    Officers observed two students in possession of alcoholic beverages.  When the officer attempted to contact the students, they fled the area.  The two students were later identified.  Charges are pending.  Closed.

060048    2:09 PM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:    Alley-2900 Binkley Avenue.  A student reported someone burglarized her vehicle.  The stereo and registration sticker were stolen.  Open.

060049    3:37 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:    Moody Parking Garage.  A student reported someone burglarized his vehicle and stole his stereo.  Open.

060050    3:48 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:    Moody Parking Garage.  A student reported someone burglarized his vehicle and stole his stereo.  Open.

060051    4:16 AM:    Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Outstanding Warrants/Criminal Trespass Warning:  3000 block of Dyer Court. A student was issued a citation for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, arrested for an outstanding Dallas County warrant and transported to Dallas County Jail.    A non-affiliated passenger was arrested on outstanding warrants from Highland Park DPS.  The passenger was issued a criminal trespass warning and released to HP DPS.  Closed. 

060052    1:32 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  Binkley Avenue Apartments:  A student reported someone stole her underwear from a dryer in the public laundry room.  Open.

060057    2:20 PM:    Criminal Trespass:    Kirby Hall.  A non-affiliated man was arrested for violating a criminal trespass warning.  The man was transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

January 18

060060    12:22 AM:    Graffiti:    Law Garage.  An officer observed graffiti on the lower level north wall.  Cans of spray paint were found in the area.  Open.

060061    2:24 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID/Vehicle Accident:  South Quad Lot.  Three students were involved in a vehicle accident.  The students admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and are underage.  Two of the students were in possession of counterfeit IDs.  Judicial Referral.

060062    3:15 AM:    Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  3300 Peyton Parkway.  Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  The driver had the odor of alcoholic beverages on her breath and is underage.   She was issued a citation.  Two student passengers in the vehicle had the odor of alcoholic beverages on their breaths and are underage.  Closed.

060064    12:29 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports.  A student reported someone stole her wallet that was left unsecured.  Open.

060066    10:52 AM:    Burglary of a Vehicle:    Blanton Parking Lot.  A staff member reported someone burglarized her vehicle and stole her backpack.  The vehicle was not locked.  Open.

January 20

060069    1:29 AM:    Public Intoxication:    3200 block-Binkley Avenue.  A student was observed urinating in the street.  He was arrested and booked into the UP Jail.  Closed.

060070    2:28 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    3200 block- McFarlin Boulevard.  Officers identified a student who had the odor of alcohol on his breath and is underage.  Judicial Referral.

060071    2:58 AM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499)/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious ID:  Perkins Natatorium.  Two students stole a bicycle.  Officers found the women who had the odor of alcohol on their breaths and are underage.  Both were in possession of counterfeit driver's licenses. The bike was returned to the owner who did not press criminal charges. Judicial Referral.

060072  12:48 PM:  Criminal Mischief:  Airline Garage.  A student reported that someone damaged his vehicle driver's side door.  Closed.

060075  1:11 AM:  Driving While Intoxicated:  South Quad parking lot/5900 block of Ownby Drive.  A student was arrested for DWI and booked into the University Park jail.  Closed.

060076  2:47 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by Minor:  Kappa Sigma House.  Three students were caught drinking alcoholic beverages in the house. Closed.

060077  2:27 PM:  Criminal Mischief:  South Quad Lot.  A student reported that an unknown person kicked the front of her car causing minor damage.  Closed.

060079  8:11 PM:  Theft Class A ($500-$1499):  Dallas Hall.  A non-affiliated person reported that someone stole her laptop computer.  The laptop had been left unsecured.  Open.

060085    1:58 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):    McElevaney Hall.  A staff member reported someone stole a coffee table from the 1st floor lobby.  Open.

060086    2:19 AM:    Driving Under the Influence by a Minor:    6000 block of Dublin Street.  A non-affiliated, underage woman was issued a court citation for driving her vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. The woman was also issued a criminal trespass warning.  Closed.

060087    2:09 PM:    Criminal Mischief:  Airline Parking Garage.  Someone drove through the entrance gate and damaged the gate arm.  Open.

060090    4:13 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499.99):  Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports.  A student reported someone stole his property from the temporary storage shelves.  Officers were able to locate the property in the building.  No offense occurred.  The report is unfounded.  Closed.

060091    10:46 PM:    Theft - Class A ($500-1499.99):  Boaz Hall.  A student reported someone stole her unattended backpack and contents from the first floor lobby.  Open.

060092    1:45 AM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  Phi Delta Theta House.  A student was observed holding an open bottle of beer.  The student also had a counterfeit ID in his possession.  The student was issued a court citation.  Closed.

060093    2:16 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  3000 block SMU Boulevard.  An underage student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for driving her vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages.   She also had a counterfeit ID in her possession.  An underage student passenger in the vehicle had the odor of alcoholic beverages on her breath.  Judicial Referral.

060094    2:16 AM:    Public Intoxication/Possession of a Fictitious License or ID:  3022 SMU Boulevard.  A student was observed to be intoxicated in a public place.  He also had a counterfeit ID in his possession.  The student was arrested and transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

060095    3:05 AM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  Sigma Alpha Epsilon House.  Two students were observed holding open cans of beer.  Another student admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages.  All are underage.  One of the students had a counterfeit ID in his possession.  Judicial Referral.

060096    11:43 AM:    Theft - State Jail Felony ($1500 - 19999.99):  Phi Delta Theta House.  A student reported someone stole video games and a surround sound system from the main lobby.  Open.

060099    3:34 PM:    Theft - Class A ($500-1499.99):  Owens Art Center.  A student reported someone stole electronic equipment from his secured office.  Open.

060100    6:06 PM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Alcohol Policy Violation:  Kappa Sigma House.  Two students were found making Jell-O shots in the kitchen.  Several bottles of alcoholic beverages were observed.  Both students were issued court citations.  The house will be referred to the Judicial Officer.  Closed.

060101    10:06 PM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor:  McIntosh Hall.  A student was found in possession of seven cans of beer.  Judicial Referral.

060102  4:00 PM:  Theft Class B ($50-$499):  Umphrey Lee Center.  A non-affiliated man reported someone stole his jacket and car keys.  The keys were later located.  Closed.

060111  12:15 PM:  Disorderly Conduct/Criminal Trespass Warning:  Mary Hay Hall.  A non-affiliated man was disorderly in the hall and was cited by officers.  He was also issued a criminal trespass warning.  Closed.

060114  3:54 PM:  Burglary of a Vehicle:  Moody Parking Garage.  A student reported that someone broken into his car and stole a radar detector.  Open.

060115  9:54 PM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Criminal Trespass Warning:  South Quad parking lot.  Officers issued two non-affiliated underage men criminal trespass warnings and cited them for consumption of alcohol by a minor.  Closed.

060116  10:38 PM:  Evading Arrest/Criminal Trespass Warning:  South Quad parking lot.  A non-affiliated man was detained for evading arrest after he ran from officers that had ordered him to stop.  Charges are pending.  Closed.

060119  2:02 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Silent or Abusive Calls to 911 Service:  Boaz Hall.  An underage student will be referred to Judicial Affairs and was issued a citation for consumption by a minor.  Closed.

060120  2:36 AM:  Indecent Exposure:  South Quad parking lot.  A 911 caller reported that a man had exposed himself to her as she drove through the parking lot.  Officers did not locate the man.  He was described as a white male wearing grey sweat pants and a sleeveless shirt.  Closed.

060122  2:55 AM:  Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Criminal Trespass:  Sigma Alpha Epsilon house.  Two underage students were in possession of beer and will be referred to Judicial Affairs.  A non-affiliated man was arrested for criminal trespass when he was found in the house.  He had been issued a criminal trespass warning in the past.  Closed.

060123  3:45 AM:  Driving While Intoxicated:  Off Campus, 3300 block of Rosedale.  A non-affiliated man was arrested for DWI and booked into the University Park Jail.  Closed.
