050671 1:10 PM: Failure to Leave Identification (at scene of accident): A staff member reported that someone damaged her vehicle while parked in the 3000 block of Binkley Avenue. The unknown driver of the suspect vehicle left the scene and failed to provide identifying information. Closed.

050674 2:17 PM: Theft-Class B ($50-499): Officers responded to the SMU Bookstore regarding two non-affiliated men who were seen shoplifting in the store. Officers made contact with the two men. Investigation revealed the men stole a textbook from the bookstore. One of the men had been issued a criminal trespass warning in 1998 and was also charged with Criminal Trespass. A pipe used to smoke illegal drugs was also confiscated. Both men were arrested and transported to UP Jail. Closed.

The men were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Investigation revealed the driver consumed an alcoholic beverage and is underage. The man became irate and would not allow the staff member to leave a room in Morrison Hall. The man also threw a pen across a desk which struck the staff member's person. 050698 1:36 PM: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A staff member found a pipe in a room in Moore Hall while conducting an "end of the year" check of a student's room. The pipe contained suspected marijuana residue. Judicial Referral.

050699 2:08 AM: Criminal Mischief: An unknown person was being pursued by Dallas Police Department. As the chase entered campus, the unknown person caused damage to landscaping with his vehicle in the University Parking Lot. Open.
050700 10:41 AM: Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle: A golf cart parked outside Clement Halls was stolen without the permission of the owner. The golf cart was located by officers near the fountain at the Owen Fine Arts Center. Open.

The house mom was conducting a check of his room and discovered marijuana, a smoking pipe and a water bong. The student confronted the house mom and caused a disturbance. When she picked up the wallet on May 19, 2005, 10:00 AM, she discovered $17.00 cash missing. The area where the wallet was left is an unsecured area. Closed.

The student said he was showing the house to his brother and did not know it was closed for the summer. The student was in possession of a counterfeit Louisiana ID.
