050914    2:47 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):    A staff member reported she saw a black male carrying three textbooks from the SMU Bookstore.  The man left the store without paying for the books.  Open.

050915    12:59 PM:    Fire Alarm:    Officers and UPFD responded to a fire alarm at the Delta Delta Delta house.  A smell of smoke was discovered on the second floor.  The smoke was coming from a washing machine motor in the laundry room.  Closed.

050916    3:11 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):    A staff member in the Fondren Library reported a laptop computer was found missing during an inventory of Library property.  Open.

050917    4:39 PM:    Administrative Information Report:    A student reported she received harassing e-mails and telephone calls at her off campus residence from another student.  Judicial Referral.


August 3

050918    10:38 AM:  Theft - SJF - ($1500-19,999):    A contractor, working in the Palomar Residence Offices at 5240 Mockingbird Lane, reported someone stole a utility trailer from the secured construction area.  Open.

050919    3:00 PM:    Crime Prevention Program:  Lt. E. Jemmott conducted a self-defense class in the Fondren Library for 16 staff member.  Closed.


August 4

050920    9:08 AM:    Sick or Injured Person:    Officers and UP EMS responded to a medical call at the Loyd All Sport Center involving a non-affiliated woman.  Closed.

050921    2:51 PM:    Fire Alarm:    Officers responded to a fire alarm at Smith Hall.  Contractors working on the kitchen alarm system accidentally activated the alarm.  Closed.


August 5

050922    12:11 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:  Five vehicles belonging to contractors were burglarized while parked in the 2900 block of SMU Boulevard.  Various stereo equipment was stolen.  Open.

050923    3:52 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  A non-affiliated woman reported her unsecured bicycle was stolen from the bike rack by the Fondren Library.  Open.

050924    12:11 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:  A student reported his vehicle was burglarized while parked in the parking lot located in the 6600 block of Airline Road.  Several CDs were stolen.  Open.

050925    6:34 AM:    Fire Alarm:    Officers and UPFD responded to a fire alarm at the Crow Building.  No cause for the alarm was determined.  Closed.


August 8

050926    1:56 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  A non-affiliated juvenile reported his backpack and video camera were stolen from the 4th level of the Law Garage.  The property was left unsecured while the juvenile was skateboarding in the area.  Open.

050928    5:36 PM:    Reckless Damage or Destruction:  A non-affiliated man drove his vehicle over the grass near the crosswalk on Bishop Boulevard (southbound) causing damage to the landscape.  The man drove over the grass to avoid high water in the street.  Closed.

050929    7:00 PM:    Crime Prevention Program:  Lt. E. Jemmott conducted a Hilltop Watch Training session in the Hughes-Trigg Forum for RA's and Hall Directors. Closed.


August 9

050930    11:29 AM:    Criminal Mischief:  A staff member reported someone cut the lock to the gate at the Mrs. Baird's Building.  No property is reported missing at this time.  Open.

050931     4:34 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  A student reported someone stole her purse from a study room in the Crow Building.  The purse was left unattended.   Open.


August 10

050932    1:16 PM:    Theft - Class C (Less than $50):  A staff member reported someone stole her purse from her unsecured office in Storey Hall.  The staff member saw an unknown woman leaving her office as she was returning to the area.  The suspect is described as a black female, 20-25 years old, 5'5", 135 pounds, long black hair with red tips, wearing green scrubs.  The suspect also appeared to be pregnant and may have a gold cap on her teeth.  ATTENTION:  If this suspect is seen on campus, please call the SMU Police IMMEDIATELY at 8-3388.  Open.

050933    2:55 PM:    Crime Prevention Program:  Lt. E. Jemmott conducted a self-defense class for members of the Fondren Library Center.  Closed.


August 11

050934    1:02 PM:    Vehicle Accident:  Two non-affiliated individuals were involved in a vehicle accident in the West Quad Lot.  Insurance information was exchanged.  Closed.

050935    10:43 PM:    Loud Noise Complaint:  A student in the Binkley Avenue Apartments reported a noise complainant.  Officers made contact with the resident causing the noise and required all persons inside the apartment to depart.  The student resident complied.  Judicial Referral.


August 12

050936    2:41 PM:    Vehicle Accident:  A student and a staff member were involved in a vehicle accident in the Hughes-Trigg north side loading dock area.  Insurance information was exchanged.


August 13

050937    3:19 AM:    Criminal Trespass Warning:  A man was observed lying on the east side steps of Hawk Hall.  Officers made contact with the man who was determined to be homeless.  The man was issued a criminal trespass warning and told to leave campus.  Closed.

050938    10:49 AM:  Fire Alarm:  Officers responded to a fire alarm at the Perkins Administration Building.  Constructions workers in the area were removing ceiling tiles and accidentally set off a smoke detector.  Closed.

050939    1:05 PM:    Sick or Injured Person:  Officers and UP EMS responded to a medical call at Martin Hall involving a student.  Closed.


August 14

050940    3:33 AM:    Fire Alarm:  Officers and UPFD responded to a fire alarm at the Pan-Hellenic House.  No cause for the alarm could be determined. Closed.

050941    6:00 AM:    Criminal Mischief:    Officers and UPFD responded to a fire alarm in the Phi Delta Theta house.  Officers found the second floor of the house flooded due someone leaving running water on in two sinks and a shower.  Extensive water damage was sustained on the first and second floors of the house.  Open.

050942    10:27 PM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Officers observed two students in the 3100 block of Binkley Avenue who appeared to be intoxicated.  Officers contacted the students and detected the odor of alcohol on their breaths.  The two students advised they were coming from dinner with their parents where they had drank wine.  The parents were contacted for verification and confirmed the information.  Closed.

050943    11:04 PM:  Administrative Information Report:  A student in Mary Hay Hall reported she received a call from an unknown man who tried to solicit her to be a model for a photograph session.  Several other students in the hall received the same telephone call.  Open.


August 15

050944    12:05 AM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor:    A student was found in possession of an alcoholic beverage in the 3100 block of Binkley Avenue.  Judicial Referral.

050945    12:30 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of a Fictitious License or ID:  During a walk through of the Phi Delta Theta house, officers made contact with a student and two non-affiliated men who had the odor of alcoholic beverages on their breaths.  Two of the men were in possession of counterfeit IDs.  All three men were issued court citations.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050946    2:15 AM:    Public Intoxication:  Officers made contact with a student who was staggering as he ran near Ford Stadium.  Officers determined the student was intoxicated.  The student was arrested and transported to UP Jail.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050947  2:28 AM:  Consumption/Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID/Failure to ID:  Five students in the Sigma Chi House were found in violation of various TABC laws.  Two female students were found in a men's restroom consuming alcohol, one student was found passed out in a room, two other students were observed consuming alcohol in a common area.  One of the students was in possession of a fake ID.   Closed/Judicial Referral.

050948  3:15 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Disorderly Conduct:  Officers observed a student urinating on a tree near Shuttles Hall.  Another student was also in the area.  Both students had been consuming alcohol.  Citations were issued to both students.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050949  4:05 AM:  Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  A student was stopped for driving on the wrong way in the Theology parking lot.  The driver and a student passenger had been consumed alcohol, officers found two open cans of beer in the car.  The driver was issued a citation.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050950  6:09 AM:  Possession of Fictitious License or ID:  A staff member found a students wallet on a bench near the Fondren Library Center.  The wallet contained a fake ID.  The student was contacted to pick up his wallet.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050951  7:47 AM:  Administrative Information Report:  A Mustang Express bus driver reported that a man made a racial sensitive comment while exiting the bus on August 12, 2005.  The man who made the comment may be a worker at SMU.  Investigation to determine the identity of the man continues.  Open.

050952  1:11 PM:  Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle:  A staff member reported that a SMU vehicle had been stolen from the Patterson parking lot.  The vehicle was later located in the 5900 block of Bishop Blvd.  The keys were found in the vehicle.  Closed.

050953  4:01 PM:  Burglary of Vehicle:  A student reported that someone had broke into his truck and stole a stereo.  The truck was parked in the Airline Garage a the time of the burglary.  Open.

050954  10:28 PM:  University Policy Violation:  A staff member found a knife in a students room in Shuttles Hall.  The student who owned the knife violated policy as outlined in the student handbook.  Closed/Judicial Referral.


August 16

050955    12:09 AM:  Public Intoxication/Sick or Injured Person:  Officers responded to Morrison-McGinnis Hall to check on a sick/intoxicated nonaffiliated man.  Closed.

050956    12:42 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  Two students at Morrison-McGinnis Hall were cited for consumption.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050957    12:58 AM:  Possession/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:   Three female students were observed drinking alcohol in the lobby of the Lambda Chi Alpha House.  Officers also found evidence that indicted alcohol consumption in common areas of the house.  The Lambda Chi Alpha House will be referred for the violation.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050958    1:11 AM:  Public Intoxication/Consumption of Alcohol by a  Minor:  A nonaffiliated man called and requested assistance in the 1st floor restroom in Virginia Hall.  When officers arrived they found that the man was intoxicated and required medical assistance.  Two students that had sponsored this man were contacted.  The two students had also been consuming alcohol.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050959    2:45  AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession Drug Paraphernalia/Possession Fake ID/Disorderly Conduct/Criminal Trespass Warning:   Officers observed a nonaffiliated man urinating in public in the south quad parking lot behind McElvaney Hall.  Investigation revealed that the man had a small amount of marijuana, smoking pipe, fake ID, a knife and a facsimile handgun in his car.  He was cited and issued a criminal trespass warning, his mother picked him up.  Closed.

050960    4:44 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  A student was observed in the lobby of McElvaney Hall and appeared to have been consuming alcohol.  The student admitted that he had consumed some alcohol earlier in the evening.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050961    3:37 AM:  Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Alcohol Policy Violation:  Three students were observed walking through the Sigma Chi House parking lot with open containers of beer.  Two of the students are underage.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050962    2:36 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Failure to Identify:  Three students and five nonaffiliated persons were in the Sigma Chi House consuming alcohol in a house members room.  One of the students failed to provide identification when instructed by officers.  He will be referred to the Judicial Officer for the violation.  One student was cited for consumption.  Closed/Judicial Referral.

050963    8:48 AM:  Sick or Injured Person:  Officers and UP EMS responded to a medical call at Boaz Hall involving a student.  Closed.

050964    5:52 PM:    Theft - Class B ($50-499):  A student reported someone stole his bicycle from the bike rack south of Kirby Hall.  Open.


August 17

050965    12:51 AM:    Suspicious Person:  A student reported an unknown man, riding a bicycle in the 6000 block of Bishop Boulevard, appeared to be following female students making them nervous.  The man did not direct any comments or threats to the students.  Officers responded to the area, but were unable to located the man.  Closed.

050966    3:03 AM:    University Policy Violation:    An officer observed three men leaning out a third floor window at McElevaney Hall smoking a pipe.  Investigation determined the odor of burned marijuana was present in the room.  Judicial Referral.

050967    4:43 PM:    Vehicle Accident:  A student and a contract employee were involved in a vehicle accident in the South Quad Lot.

050968    5:23 PM:    Failure to Leave Identification (scene of accident):  A staff member reported someone caused damage to her vehicle while parked in a space west of the Sigma Chi house.  Open.

050969    4:59 PM:  Outstanding Warrants:  Officers made contact with a student and advised her she has outstanding warrants.  The student was told to take care of the matter immediately.  Judicial Referral. 

050970    7:30 PM:    Fire Alarm:  Officers and UPFD responded to a fire alarm in Moore Hall.  Smoke from a heating pan of oil caused smoke which activated a smoke detector.  No damage or fire was observed.  Closed. 

050971    8:20 PM:    Criminal Trespass Warnings:  Three non-affiliated men were issued criminal trespass warnings for jump the fence at the Intramural Field.  All departed campus.  Closed.


August 18

050972    12:23 AM:    Assist Other Agency/Alcohol Policy Violation-Passive Participation:  UPPD requested the assistance of officers in the 3100 block of Rosedale with a party involving SMU students.  Five students were cited by UPPD.  A sixth student will be referred to the Judicial Officer for passive participation.  Judicial Referral.

050973    2:14 AM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of a Fictitious License or ID:  Officers made contact with two students in the South Quad Lot.  Both students had the odor of alcoholic beverages on their breaths and are underage.  Both were issued court citations.  One of the students was in possession of a counterfeit ID.  Judicial Referral.

050974    11:45 AM:  Sick or Injured Person:  Officers and UPEMS responded to a medical call in the 3000 block of Dyer Court involving a non-affiliated man.  Closed.

050975    5:01 PM:    Reckless Driving:    An officer observed a student driving recklessly in the West Quad Lot.  The student was contacted and identified.  Judicial Referral.

050976    4:32 PM:    Failure to Leave Identification (scene of accident):  A student reported someone caused damage to her vehicle while parked in the 6300 block of Ownby Street.  The owner of the striking vehicle was later identified as belonging to another student.  Judicial Referral.

050977    10:22 PM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor:  Two students were observed in possession of alcoholic beverages in a common area of the Lambda Chi Alpha house.  Both students are underage.  Judicial Referral.


August 19

050978    1:41 AM    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of a Fictitious License or ID:  Officers made contact with a student in the 6200 block of Airline Street.  The student had the odor of alcoholic beverages on his breath and is underage.  The student was also in possession of a counterfeit ID.  The student was issued a court citation.  Judicial Referral.

050979    02:31 AM:    Off Campus-Criminal Incident:  A student reported that several SMU students were involved in an altercation at an off campus bar.  Judicial Referral

050980    2:10 AM:    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Criminal Trespass/Criminal Trespass Warning:  Four non-affiliated men were contacted by officers in the 3000 block of SMU Boulevard.  One of the men was in violation of a criminal trespass warning, was arrested and transported to UP Jail.  One of the men was found in possession of an alcoholic beverage and was issued a court citation.  The two other men were issued criminal trespass warnings.  Closed.

050981    3:24 AM:    Driving While Intoxicated/Consumption of Alcohol by Minor:    A student was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated in the 6000 block of Ownby Street.  The student was transported to UP Jail.  A passenger in the vehicle had the odor of alcoholic beverages on his breath and is underage.  The passenger, also a student, was issued a court citation.  Judicial Referral.

050982  8:52 AM:  Criminal Trespass:  A non-affiliated man was arrested when he was observed in Kirby Hall.  He was booked into the University Park jail.  Closed.

050983  1:27 PM:  Sick or Injured Person:  Officers and UP EMS responded to check on a student at the Barr Pool.  Closed.

050984  3:45 PM:  Found Drug Contraband:  A student turned over a small amount of marijuana at an off campus location.  Judicial Referral.

050985  5:33 PM:  Assault:  A student threatened a non-affiliated man at an off campus location.  Judicial Referral.

050986  8:37 PM:  Possession of Alcohol by Minor:  Officers found a door propped open at the SAE House.  During a check of the house four underage students were caught drinking beer.  Judicial Referral.


August 20

050987  12:33 AM:  Fire Alarm:  Officers and UP Fire Department responded to check on an alarm at the Kappa Sigma House.  Investigation revealed that the alarm system had malfunctioned.  An alarm technician was called for repairs.  Closed.

050988  12:58 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by Minor/Criminal Trespass Warning:  An underage student and a non-affiliated man were drinking alcohol in the Kappa Sigma House.  Both were cited and the non-affiliated man was issued a trespass warning.  Judicial Referral.

050989  1:29 AM:  Fire Alarm:  Officers responded to the Fondren Library Center to investigate an alarm.  The alarm system had malfunctioned and will required repairs.  Open.

050990  2:51 AM:   Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Possession of Alcohol by Minor/Criminal Trespass Warning:  A non-affiliated man was stopped in the 3200 block of Binkley Ave.  He is underage, had been consuming alcohol and had possession of bottle of vodka.  He was cited and issued a trespass warning.  Closed.

050992  12:15 AM:  Alcohol Policy Violation:  A student was observed consuming alcohol on the front porch of the Sigma Chi House.  Judicial Referral.

050993  12:17 AM:  Possession of Marijuana/Consumption of Alcohol by Minor/Evading Arrest/Failure to Identify:  An underage non-affiliated man was arrested and booked into the University Jail after he ran from officers.  He had been detained in front of the Kappa Sigma House for consumption of alcohol.  Officers found a small amount of marijuana on the man during a search.  Closed.

050994  12:21 AM:  Alcohol Policy Violation:  A student was consuming alcohol in a common area in the Lambda Chi Alpha house.  Judicial Referral.

050995  1:43 AM:  Criminal Trespass/Consumption of Alcohol by Minor:  A non-affiliated man was arrested for trespassing in the 3100 block of Binkley Ave.  The man was with an underage student that had been consuming alcohol.  The non-affiliated man was arrested and booked into the University Park jail, the student was cited.  Judicial Referral/Closed.

050996  2:11 AM:  Criminal Mischief-($50-$499):  Someone damaged a gate arm in the Law Parking Garage. CCTV recording will be checked to determine who damaged the arm.   Open.

050997  2:35 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by Minor:  Two underage students at Peyton Hall had been consuming alcohol.  Judicial Referral.

050998  2:59 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by Minor:  An underage student in the Main Quad area had been consuming alcohol.  Judicial Referral.

050999  3:01 AM:  Outstanding Warrants/Criminal Trespass Warning:   Three non-affiliated men were observed in a car driving without lights on at SMU Blvd. and Dublin Street.  One of the men had an outstanding arrest warrant, he was arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail.  All of the men were issued trespass warnings.  Closed.

051000  3:33 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by Minor/Criminal Trespass Warning:  Two students and two non-affiliated persons in the Moody parking garage were stopped when it appeared that one of them had been consuming alcohol.  All of the involved parties were underage.  Two non-affiliated men were issued a trespass warnings and departed campus.  Judicial Referral/Closed.

051001  4:05 AM:  Alcohol Policy Violation:  Officers observed evidence of alcohol consumption in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon House.  The house will be referred for the violation.  Judicial Referral.

051002  12:53 AM:  Consumption of Alcohol by Minor/Passive Participation-Alcohol Policy Violation:  Two underage students in McElvaney Hall had been consuming alcohol and another student was with them at the time they were consuming.  The students related that they had consumed alcohol at an off campus party sponsored by an SMU fraternity.  Open/Judicial Referral.

051003  2:03 PM:  Fire Alarm:  Officers and UP Fire Department responded to Ford Stadium to investigate a fire alarm.  Staff members grilling hamburgers in the concourse caused the alarm.  Closed.

051004  3:57 PM:  Theft ($50-$499):  A non-affiliated woman reported that her wallet had been stolen from an unsecured room in the Owens Arts Center.  Open.

051005  6:50 PM:  Sick or Injured Person:  Officers and UP EMS checked on a student in Cockrell Hall.  Closed.

051006  9:18 PM:  Fire Alarm:  Officers and UP Fire Department responded to Phi Delta Theta House to investigate a fire alarm.  The cause for the alarm was not determined.  The system will be checked by fire safety staff.  Closed.

051007  1:28 AM:  Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Possession Drug Paraphernalia/Criminal Trespass Warning:  A non-affiliated was stopped in the 3000 block of Binkley Ave.   The man is underage, had been consuming alcoholic beverages and was in possession of a marijuana pipe.  He was issued a citation and a criminal trespass warning.  Closed.

051008    8:16 AM:    Illegal Use of Handicapped Placard:  A student was caught parked in a disabled space and displaying a handicapped placard which had not been issued to him.  He was cited.  Judicial Referral.

051009    8:30 AM:    Administrative Information Report:  A student reported he was involved in an altercation off campus with another student.  Judicial Referral.

051010    1:15 PM:    Assault-Family Violence/Public Intoxication:  A student assaulted his wife while sitting in their parked car in front of the Hughes-Trigg Student Center.  He was also intoxicated. SMU PD arrested the man and booked him into the UP Jail.  Closed.

051011    2:31 PM:    Fire Alarm:  Officers responded to a trouble alarm in the Fondren Library.  A communications failure in the system caused the alarm system to activate.  Closed.

051012    4:27 PM:    Theft-Class B ($50-499):    A student reported her bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at McIntosh Hall.  Open.

051013    4:30 PM:    Theft-Class C (Less than $50):    A faculty member reported her wallet was stolen from her unsecured office in the Owens Art Center.  Open.

051014    5:36 PM:    Theft-Class B ($50-499):    A student reported her wallet was stolen from an unsecured practice room in the Owens Art Center.  Open.

051015    6:00 PM:    Theft-Class C (Less than $50):    A faculty member reported his wallet was stolen from his unsecured office in the Fondren Science Building.  Open.

051016    12:23 AM:    Outstanding Warrants/Criminal Trespass Warning:    A non-affiliated man was stopped for a traffic violation at the intersection of Bishop Blvd. and Binkley Avenue.  A check revealed the man had outstanding warrants.  The man was arrested and booked into the UP Jail.  He was also issued a criminal trespass warning.  Closed.

051017    2:36 AM:    Unlawfully Carrying Weapons:    A student was stopped for a traffic violation in the 6000 block of Ownby Drive.  A check revealed the student had an outstanding warrant.  The student was also in possession of a handgun.  The student was arrested and transported to UP Jail.  Closed.

051018    9:38 AM:    Fire Alarm/Fire Safety Violation:    UPFD responded to a fire alarm in the Phi Gamma Delta House.  The alarm was caused by steam setting off a smoke detector.  One student failed to evacuate during the alarm.  Judicial Referral.

051019    4:19 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:    A student reported her vehicle was burglarized while parked in the 2900 block of SMU Boulevard.  A radio was stolen.  Open.

051021    1:52 AM:    Assist Other Agency:    Officers assisted Highland Park DPS search for a burglary suspect in the 5500 block of Mockingbird Lane.  Closed.

051022    10:41 AM:    Emergency Evacuation Exercise:    Fondren Science Building.  Closed.

051023    2:40 PM:    Administrative Information Report:    A student reported another student signed for and picked up a package at the SMU Post Office which belonged to her.  The incident was an error by postal station employees.  The student's package was later returned to her.  Closed.

051024    3:00 PM:    Crime Prevention Presentation:  Lt. Jemmott conducted a self-defense class at the Fondren Library.  Closed.

051025    4:44 PM:    Theft-Class B ($50-499):    A staff member reported her keys and cell phone were stolen from a table in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center courtyard.    Open.

051026    4:49 PM:    Burglary of Vehicle:    A student reported his vehicle was burglarized while parked in the 2900 block of SMU Boulevard.  A radio and a case of CD's were stolen.  Closed.

051027    5:37 PM:    Theft-Class B ($50-499):    A staff member reported her wallet was stolen from her unlocked office in the Umphrey Lee Center.  Open.

051033    2:28 AM:    Criminal Trespass/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    Four students entered the Barr Pool area while the facility was closed and secured.  One of the students was in possession of a counterfeit driver's license.  Judicial Referral.

051034    11:42 AM:    Burglary of Vehicle:  Two non-affiliated men were observed via security cameras burglarizing a vehicle in the Contractor's Lot on SMU Blvd. Officers responded and arrested one man near the parking lot.  The other fled in his car, then on foot and was captured near Ford Stadium.  They were booked into the Dallas County Jail.  Closed.

051035    12:00 PM:    Outstanding Warrants:  SMU PD was contacted by the Austin Police Department regarding a student who had outstanding warrants.  The student turned himself in to Travis County authorities.  Closed.

051036    7:10 PM:    Fire Alarm:    Officers and UPFD responded to a fire alarm in Virginia Hall.  Someone burned popcorn in the microwave causing several smoke detectors to activate.  The smoke was cleared from the hall by UPFD.  Closed.

051038    11:42 PM:    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Alcohol Policy Violation/Passive Participation/Criminal Trespass Warning:  During a walk-through of the Phi Gamma Delta House, officers made contact with fourteen people who are under 21 and had been drinking.  Seven students and one non-affiliated man were issued court citations.  Six students will be referred to the Judicial Officer for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.  Three students will be referred to the Judicial Officer for Passive Participation.   Two non-affiliated men were issued a criminal trespass warning.  The fraternity was cited for an Alcohol Policy Violation. 051051  12:30 AM:  Consumption/Possession of Alcohol by Minor:  An underage student was observed staggering as he walked along the alley behind the 3000 block of SMU Blvd. He was driven to the Daniel House and released to his roommate.  While at the Daniel House, officers found and confiscated a bottle of vodka in the students room. The liquor was disposed of.  Judicial Referral.

051052  12:15 AM:  Welfare Check of Person:  Officers assisted a student while she moved out of her off campus apartment.  Judicial Referral.

051086    1:25 AM:    Criminal Mischief:  A police dispatcher saw a vehicle enter the Moody Parking Garage on surveillance cameras.  A passenger exited the vehicle and was observed bending the gate arm up to allow entrance to the vehicle.  This caused the gate to be inoperable.  The vehicle was identified as belonging to a student.  Judicial Referral.
