Government agencies, foundations and individuals annually award SMU more than $11 million for research and sponsored projects in fields ranging from biology to theology, from engineering to the arts.

Union Programming

Up to 19 first-year students are selected to join “The Union,” working closely with sophomore, junior and senior class members to plan fundraising programs and creating a sense of unity among the SMU community.  The Union will create programs throughout the year that appeal to the whole student body in order to raise money to make SMU an even better place.  It’s your chance to have direct contact with some of the biggest students leaders on campus while also bringing unity to the SMU campus.
