Longtime SMU supporter Ray L. Hunt
receives Linz Award for public service

A capacity crowd of family, friends, co-workers and the business, nonprofit and civic leaders of Dallas gathered April 4 (2007) to watch Ray Hunt (center) receive the Linz Award. Mr. Hunt was honored for his numerous contributions to the civic and community life of the city, including his extensive service to SMU. Former Linz Award winner Walt Humann (right) served as emcee for the event, and Dr. Gerald Turner (left), president of SMU, gave a warm introduction of Mr. Hunt. In his typical humble style, Mr. Hunt gave much of the credit to his wife, Nancy Ann.
