August 21, 2001 SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON STUDENTS AND SCHOOLS AT PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS COLLEGE FAIRS ALEXANDRIA, VA (July 12, 2001) -- Students interested in continuing their education in the areas of music, dance, theater, visual arts, graphic design, and other related fields are invited to attend the San Antonio Performing and Visual Arts College Fair on Sunday, September 23 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., at the Double Tree Hotel in San Antonio; Houston Performing and Visual Arts College Fair on Monday, September 24 from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., at Rice University; or the Dallas Performing and Visual Arts College Fair on Tuesday, September 25 from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., at Southern Methodist University. Sponsored by the National Association for College Admission Counseling, this free event provides students seeking an undergraduate or graduate program the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admission representatives from a variety of colleges, universities, conservatories, studios, and summer arts programs. Students have the opportunity to find out about educational opportunities, financial aid possibilities, portfolio days, auditions, entrance requirements, and much more. The Performing and Visual Arts College Fair Program annually brings in more than 5,500 students in contact with over 1,000 institutions of higher education at more than 25 fairs.
