SMU welcomes Lisa Webb as new Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students

Lisa Webb, Ed.D., is SMU's new Associate Vice President Of Student Affairs and Dean Of Students, effective Sept. 1.

Webb has over 25 years of experience in higher education and most recently was Associate Dean of Students and Director of Multicultural Affairs at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She earned her B.A. from Wheaton College, M.Ed. from Harvard University, and an Ed.D. from the University of San Francisco. Additionally, Webb received a higher education administrative Fulbright Scholar Award to study higher education in Germany.

Webb's prior appointments have included work as Assistant Dean of Students in the Office of Graduate Studies at the University of California at Davis; Assistant Dean for Multicultural Graduate Affairs in the School of Humanities and Science at Stanford University; and a Residence Dean and Conduct Officer, also at Stanford. She has also served as co-acting Dean of Students at Lewis and Clark.

In her role as Associate Vice President and Dean of Student Life, Webb will oversee the offices of Student Conduct & Community Standards, Services for Students with Disabilities and Parent and Family Programs.
