SMU’S Clements Center Introduces 2006-07 Fellows

Four research fellows for the William P. Clements Center for Southwest Studies are taking residence on SMU’s campus this fall to continue their respective research and bring their book-length manuscripts to completion. Chris Wilson, Monica Perales, Deborah Kang and Andrew Needham will receive the support of the Center and access to holdings of the DeGolyer Library. Research must focus on Southwestern America or the U.S.-Mexico borderlands. The research this year includes how electrical networks connected cities with energy sources located on Native American land to a biography of El Paso, Texas. All fellowships are provided by the Clements Center, with one fellowship funded by the Summerlee Foundation.
