SMU Graduate Awarded Funbright Grant

Vecky Juko, a recent SMU graduate, has been awarded a Fulbright Grant to research the democratization of the Croatian society, specifically the decentralization of local government in Rijecka, Croatia.

Juko graduated in 2006 with a triple major in political science, economics and German and a minor in international studies.

The U.S. Department of State awards approximately 6,000 scholarships each year worth a total of $250 million through the Fulbright Program.
