Diverse Magazine Lists SMU as a Top Producer
of Graduate Minority Engineering Students

SMU is one of the top five producers of African-American engineering students at the master’s degree level for 2004-05, according to Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.

The magazine’s annual college rankings report listed SMU as fourth in the nation with 20 students in the degree program. The report was released in a two-part series spotlighting undergraduate and graduate statistics.

The special report identifies the top 100 minority degree producers among institutions of higher education and is the only national report of U.S. colleges and universities awarding degrees to African-American, Latino, Asian-American and Native-American students.
