Diverse Magazine Lists SMU as a Top Producer
of Graduate Minority Engineering Students
SMU is one of the
top five producers of African-American engineering students at the
master’s degree level for 2004-05, according to
Diverse: Issues
in Higher Education.
The magazine’s
annual college rankings report listed SMU as fourth in the nation
with 20 students in the degree program. The report was released in
a two-part series spotlighting undergraduate and graduate
statistics.
The special report
identifies the top 100 minority degree producers among
institutions of higher education and is the only national report
of U.S. colleges and universities awarding degrees to
African-American, Latino, Asian-American and Native-American
students.
