Mathes Awarded Albert J. Harris Award for Article

SMU’s Patricia Mathes, Texas Instruments Endowed Chair in Reading Research and professor of education in the School of Education and Human Development, is one of six academic researchers who have collectively won the 2006 Albert J. Harris Award from the International Reading Association for their co-authored article, “The Effects of Theoretically Different Instruction and Student Characteristics on the Skills of Struggling Readers.”

The award will be presented May 1 during the International Reading Association’s Research Awards in Chicago.
