SMU Professor Receives Hendrix Alumni Award

Tom Fomby, a professor of economics at SMU, received Hendrix College’s 2006 Distinguished Alumnus Award during the college’s annual Alumni Weekend in Conway, Ark.

Fomby, a 1969 alumnus of Hendrix, joined the economics department at SMU in 1975. He co-authored the acclaimed textbook, Advanced Econometric Methods, and has published more than 40 articles in numerous professional journals.

Fomby is currently a member of the SMU Board of Trustees Audit Committee.
