February 16, 2006 SMU AND DALLAS CAN! ACADEMY TEAM UP A cooperative program launched this spring between Dallas Can! Academy and Southern Methodist University is exposing the academy’s students to science and university life. Students from the Academy’s science classes travel to SMU every other week to do experiments in a chemistry lab under the supervision of SMU chemistry lecturer Helen Babbili. “SMU has larger labs and more equipment than we do, and we want our students to experience university life and the possibilities it offers,” said David Harrison, science teacher at Dallas Can! ### SMU
