SMU ANNOUNCES SPEAKERS
FOR 2005-06 TATE LECTURE SERIES
DALLAS (SMU) -- Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, journalist Christiane
Amanpour and architect Frank Gehry highlight the 2005-06 season of the
Willis M. Tate Distinguished Lecture Series at SMU.

"In its 24th season, SMU's Tate Lecture Series will present world-renowned
figures in architecture, business, journalism, law, literature, science
and world diplomacy," said Bob Rowling, chair of the Tate Lecture
Series Board of Directors. "Even more importantly, the series provides
SMU significant financial support for scholarships and student programs."
SMU's Tate Lecture Series is presented by The Dallas Morning News
and sponsored by WFAA-TV (Channel 8), the Mansion on Turtle Creek and
American Airlines. Supporters are Cebolla Fine Flowers, SMU Student Foundation,
Sewell Lexus and The Weitzman Group.
Current season ticket holders have until May 31 to renew their seats.
