Hyeyoon Cho accepted the music cataloger librarian position at Central University Libraries, Southern Methodist University. She will start working in the Center for Information Processing on March 15th. Hyeyoon received her M.L.S. with a Specialization in Music Librarianship in May 2003. Her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance, with Honors, is from the University of California, Santa Barbara, June 2000. Hyeyoon is currently working at the Santa Barbara Public Library as a reference librarian. She had two music internships at the Indiana University Cook Music Library. She also has experience cataloging microfilms of rare music materials and monographs. She is fluent in Korean and has bibliographic knowledge in a number of languages including German, French, Italian, and Spanish.

Alisa Rata recently began her position as Music, Theatre, and Dance Librarian at Southern Methodist University’s Hamon Arts Library. She received both her M.L.S. with a Specialization in Music Librarianship and M.A. in Historical Musicology from Indiana University, Bloomington, in December 2002. While at I.U., she was awarded the Margaret I. Rufsvold Fellowship (2001-2002) for potential in the field of library science and completed internships in music reference and cataloging. She graduated with honors from SMU in 1999 with a B.M in Viola Performance. She is currently serving as chair of the Research Resources Interest Group of the Society for American Music and is an active member of the Texas and national Music Library Association, American Musicological Society, and Society for American Music.
