New Changes Announced To The Tate Lecture Series
DALLAS (SMU) -- SMU’s Willis M. Tate Distinguished Lecture Series
has made some changes to its 2003-2004 lecture series:

The TXU Lecture with Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass originally
scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21, is now Monday, Oct. 20.

At the Lacerte Family Lecture Tuesday, Nov. 11, Rena Pederson, editor-at-large
for The Dallas Morning News, will interview best-selling author
Tom Clancy.

At the William H. Lively Lecture with award-winning actress Stockard
Channing on Tuesday, March 16, playwright John Guare, who wrote “Six
Degrees of Separation” and “The House of Blue Leaves,” will
interview Channing.

The Jones Day Lecture, Tuesday, April 13, originally featuring historian
Michael Beschloss will now have historian Robert Caro, two-time
Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Power Broker: Robert Moses and
the Fall of
New York and The Years of Lyndon Johnson.

At the Tolleson Lecture, Monday, May 10, Alan Webber, co-founder of
Fast Company magazine, will interview Michael Dell, chairman
and CEO of Dell Computer Corp.
