HEAD OF THE FAA AND THE CEO OF SOUTHWEST AIRLINES TO SPEAK AT SMU AIR LAW SYMPOSIUM FEB. 27-28

DALLAS (SMU) -- Two of the biggest names in the aviation industry will speak at the 37th annual SMU Air Law Symposium Feb. 27-28 at the Hotel Intercontinental:

• James F. Parker, CEO of Southwest Airlines, noon, Thursday, Feb. 27.
• Marion Blakey, administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, noon, Friday, Feb. 28, on the topic "Charting the Next Century." Following her remarks, Blakey will answer questions from the media.

The SMU Air Law Symposium is the oldest and largest gathering of its kind in the nation. More than 500 attorneys, pilots, government safety officials and aviation manufacturers are expected to attend this year.
