The event will feature a free reception followed by a presentation from SMU Electrical Engineering Professor Zeynep Celik-Butler on microsensor and microelectronics research at SMU.. Last month, more than 70 persons attended a similar session designed to provide current and prospective students the opportunity to network with other students, industry leaders and SMU faculty members. Our first event was a great success, said Curt Eley, assistant dean of the SMU School of Engineering. Participants were glad to have the opportunity to network with their peers. It gives them a chance to talk about everything from industry trends to job tips. Eley said the SMU School of Engineering plans to continue these networking events on a monthly basis. For more information on the Sept. 30 event, contact the SMU School of Engineering at 214-768- 3041 or e-mail Eley at eley@engr.smu.edu. Friends and colleagues are welcome to attend. The Plano Centre is located on Spring Creek Parkway east of Central Expressway in Plano. |
