SMU SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TO HOLD RECEPTION FOR CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE GRADUATE STUDENTS

DALLAS (SMU) -- The SMU School of Engineering will hold a free reception for current and prospective graduates on Sunday, Aug. 19, from 7-9 p.m. at the Plano Centre, Windhaven Room.

The reception will feature a presentation by Jerry Gibson, chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering, on "The Next New Thing in (Tele)Communications." The reception also will provide an opportunity for current and prospective students to network with other students as well as faculty members.

SMU offers doctoral and master's degrees in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, operations research and applied science. Master's degrees are offered with major emphasis in software engineering, engineering management, environmental systems management, manufacturing systems management, telecommunications and systems engineering.
