DALLAS (SMU) -- The Southern Methodist University gospel choir, Voices of Inspiration, will perform in a free concert, titled "Koinonia 2001: A Fellowship of the Spirit," at 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, in McFarlin Auditorium, 6405 Boaz Lane.

The emcee for the event will be The Ambassador, aka William Branch "Duce" from the Dove Award-nominated hip hop gospel group The Cross Movement. Koinonia 2001 also will feature the San Antonio Youth Ensemble, the Paul Quinn College choir, the Smith Chapel AME Church puppet ministry, the Longley, Ark. Baptist Church choir, and dancers and soloists from the Meadows School of the Arts.

"Koinonia 2001 is a coming together of local and statewide choirs, dancers and singers to fellowship, minister and showcase the talents God has given us," said Voices of Inspiration leader Yulise Reaves. "Our desire is that lives are touched by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that we believe will be there."
