SMU TO HOST PANEL DISCUSSION ON CYBERCRIME MARCH 15

DALLAS (SMU) -- Southern Methodist University's new Linda and Mitch Hart eCenter is teaming up with the DFW chapter of the Association of Internet Professionals (AIP) to present a lecture and panel discussion on cybercrime and Internet security.

"CyberCrime: Are You at Risk?" will be held March 15th from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center, 3140 Dyer St. on the SMU campus.

Keynote speaker for the event will be Paul Coggins, former U.S. Attorney General for the Northern District of Texas.

Panelists will include Dawn Estes, a partner with the firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell L.L.P. and adjunct professor at SMU's Dedman School of Law; Reid Wittliff from the Texas Attorney General's Office; and Doug Kramp, CEO of ZixMail.com.

Among the topics that Coggins and the panelists will discuss is what the state and federal government are doing to assist businesses and individuals who are victims of cyber- crimes. Moderator for the lecture and panel discussion will be Peter Raad, the Linda Wertheimer Hart Director of the Hart eCenter.
