What is the Top 25 Society?
The Top 25 Society is the SMU Mustang Club's newest giving level. This high impact society provides leadership support for SMU's talented 449 student-athletes. The Top 25 Society has a direct impact on this, as we strive to compete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics.

What specific initiatives have Mustang Club gifts recently impacted?
Increases in Mustang Club giving over the previous two years have helped our Center for the Academic Development of Student-Athletes (ADSA) become a reality. All Division I athletic programs have some form of academic, tutorial and retention support for their student-athletes. As of the fall of 2010, SMU now has a dedicated ADSA staff committed to student-athlete retention, support and success.

Additionally, as SMU student-athletes, coaches and staff elevate their commitment and work ethic as we head into BIG EAST competition, now is the time to join them in their quest for success. A Top 25 Society gift is the perfect way to do that.

You mentioned Mustang Club giving has increased over a two-year window. What have been the results?
Certainly, our football team's success after a 25-year winning drought has been one of the more visible highlights. In addition, 2010-11 saw men's basketball win 20 games and advance to postseason, men's soccer reached the NCAA Elite Eight, 205 Mustang student-athletes earned recognition to the Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2011 (3.0 or better GPA), 35 earned the Commissioner's Medal (3.75 or better), and five SMU teams posted perfect NCAA Academic Progress scores.
