
2012 Outstanding Senior Woman Megan Welch and 2012 Outstanding Senior Man Trigg Burrage
The SMU Mothers' and Dads' Clubs look forward to the opportunity each spring to select and honor the Outstanding Senior Woman and the Outstanding Senior Man of SMU. The Deans from each school select two women and two men as nominees. The two students selected as the Outstanding Senior Woman and the Outstanding Senior Man are chosen not only for their high academic achievement, but also for their leadership and service.

The 2012 Outstanding Senior Awards Reception was held at the home of President and Mrs. R. Gerald Turner on Monday, April 16, 2012. All nominees and their families are celebrated at this event.
Later in the evening, at the SMU Awards Extravaganza, Trigg Burrage was recognized as the 2012 Outstanding Senior Man by SMU Dads' Club President Charles Manthey. Megan Welch was recognized as the 2012 Outstanding Senior Woman by SMU Mothers' Club Vice-President of Scholarships Karen Burton.
