Campus Improvement Projects
A Gifts Campaign in the spring of each year benefits specific projects that
enhance the university experience for many students. This past year the
Mothers' and Dads' Clubs proudly supported the following worthwhile initiatives:
- A bilingual video targeting the parents and families of first-generation students with information relevant to helping first-generation and other “high-risk” students to be successful at SMU (requested by the Office of Parent & Family Programs)
- T-shirts for Mustang Corral, SMU’s three-day, off-campus retreat for all incoming students (requested by the Office of New Student Orientation and Student Support)
- A leadership reception for all new students at the beginning of the academic term promoting campus engagement (requested by the Office of Leadership & Community Involvement)
- Weekly family-style “Fellowship Lunches” that provide an opportunity for students of all faiths to come together following Sunday All-University Worship services (requested by the Office of the Chaplain)
