1. Can you appraise my work?
We are unable to appraise works at the museum, but here are several organizations who offer this service:

2. Can you help with conservation, restoration or framing?
The museum does not have an in-house conservator or framer. Our recommendation is to contact Helen Houp, Fine Art Conservation, Inc. (214) 366-4700.

3. I would like to sell/lend my artwork to the museum, is the Meadows interested?
Please send photos and information to Nicole Atzbach, Meadows Museum, 5900 Bishop Blvd., Dallas, TX 75205.

4. Can you tell me more about my painting by [artist]?
If the work is by a Spanish artist, you may send photos and information to Holly Hutzell, Meadows Museum, 5900 Bishop Blvd., Dallas, TX 75205. Please allow several weeks for a reply. For security reasons, please DO NOT bring the work into the museum. For all other works by non-Spanish artists, please contact the Dallas Museum of Art at www.dallasmuseumofart.org.

5. Can I reproduce an image of your painting?
Members of the press needing photos to supplement a news or feature story should contact Public Information Officer Carrie Hunnicutt at (214) 768-1584 or chunnicutt@smu.edu. For image rights and reproductions of objects in our permanent collection, please contact the Registrar Holly Hutzell at (214) 768-2727 or hhutzell@smu.edu.

6. What color are the walls in the galleries?

7. Who does your advertising?
Advertising is done in-house. For advertising sales, you may send media kits, rate cards and other advertising information to Marketing, Carrie Hunnicutt, P.O. Box 750357, Dallas, TX 75275 or to chunnicutt@smu.edu.

8. How can I get a job at the museum?
Since the Meadows Museum is part of SMU, please refer to the SMU Web site; whenever positions become available, they are posted in the employment section: www.smu.edu/employment.

9. For SMU employees: Can you move/take away the University Art Collection work that is in my office?
Yes. Please contact Holly Hutzell, Registrar, at either 8-2727 or hhutzell@smu.edu at least three weeks in advance to make arrangements for art handlers and any special vehicles or equipment.

10. For SMU employees: Can I get something from the University Art Collection to display in my office?
Possibly. At the present time, nearly all the works in the University Art Collection are already on display at various points around campus and there is a waiting list. Please contact Holly Hutzell, Registrar, at either 8-2727 or hhutzell@smu.edu to determine availability and be put on the waiting list.

 
HOURS: Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Thursday until 9:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m. Closed Monday.
ADMISSION:
$10 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 and over, $4 for non-SMU students. Free for Museum members, children under 12, and SMU faculty, staff and students. Free Thursday evenings after 5:00 p.m.
