  The Collection of Calloway and Jerry Bywaters Cochran: In Honor of a Lone Star Legend
June 3 - August 19, 2012
The Meadows Museum has recently added more than forty works by Mrs. Cochran’s father, Jerry Bywaters, to its collections. These works, which span the length of Bywaters’s career, demonstrate an array of subject matter and a range in medium, from oil paintings and watercolors to pastels, graphite drawings, and prints.

  The Frances Golden Ware Gift: Landscapes of the Southwest
June 3 - August 19, 2012
According to the wishes of the late Mrs. Frances Golden Ware (’44), the Meadows Museum has received seven important early twentieth-century American paintings. The paintings were acquired by Mrs. Ware’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Roscoe Golden, and reflect their love of the open spaces they often visited in Texas, Colorado, Arkansas and New Mexico.

The Collection of Jerry Bywaters Cochran   Diego Velázquez: The Early Court Portraits
September 16, 2012 - January 13, 2013
This fall, the Meadows Museum welcomes the magnificent portrait of Philip IV (1623-28), by Diego Velázquez (1599-1660). This is the third loan from the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid that comes to Dallas as part of the groundbreaking three-year partnership between the Meadows Museum, SMU, and the Spanish institution.


 
HOURS: Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Thursday until 9:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m. Closed Monday.
ADMISSION:
$10 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 and over, $4 for non-SMU students. Free for Museum members, children under 12, and SMU faculty, staff and students. Free Thursday evenings after 5:00 p.m.
