Journalism FacilitiesFacilities: The Journalism Complex in the Umphrey Lee Center features a state-of-the-art broadcast facility and engineering room, a radio broadcast facility and three digital classrooms all equipped with an Internet-connected computer at each seat. The classrooms are used for daily instruction in many of the main skills classes including reporting, editing, digital photojournalism, broadcast and video production. SMU-TV broadcasts from the studio 24 hours a day and includes The Daily Update, a daily news show written and produced by students, as well as programming generated in a variety of broadcast classes.

The state-of-the-art Belo Studio includes a digital newsroom and television studio and is a great place for students to apply Journalism’s convergence curriculum.
