AdmissionsAdmissions: For students wishing to pursue a major or minor in Journalism, admission is a two-part process. Students are admitted first to the University and later into the Division of Journalism. To be admitted into Journalism, students must have earned at least a B in their first-year English classes and have at least a 2.75 overall GPA.

The Rosine Smith Sammons Lecture in Media Ethics presents an annual lecture focusing on media ethics. Past lecturers have included journalist Catherine Crier and presidential adviser Karen Hughes.
