Revolutions Per Minute:
Emerging & Converging Media Technologies
Monday, November 12
From the internet to the iPod, from VOD to txt, from Wii to YouTube, technological advancements in communications, entertainment and art are shifting at blinding speeds. The wide scope of the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University is uniquely poised to explore these new media and how they often cross aesthetic and industrial lines. This SMU campus event will bring together students, academics and major figures on the cutting edge of these emerging media to present, discuss and explore their visions of the future and its impact on culture and learning.
