The Art History Division at SMU invites applications for the new Eleanor Tufts Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, a two-year national award created to support outstanding graduate students in Art History in the completion of their dissertation and in their transition to professional academic careers.
The award, $22,000 per year for two consecutive years, will be offered bi-annually to doctoral candidates in the last phase of the Ph.D. process. Applicants must be nominated by the department of the institution from which the Ph.D. is to be granted. Candidates should send their curriculum vitae, a nominating letter from the Chair of their department, two letters of recommendation, and an outline of research and dissertation plans to the Division of Art History, Office of the Chair, SMU Meadows School of the Arts, PO Box 750356, Dallas, TX 75275-0356.
