Admissions: To apply to the Division of Art as an undergraduate, all students must apply for admission through SMU's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. It is encouraged that students submit a Sketchbook provided by the Division of Art for consideration into the program. For scholarship consideration, students must submit a slide or digital portfolio to the Division of Art. Submission of a portfolio is not required for undergraduate admission to the program but is strongly recommended.

Admission to the M.F.A. program is extremely selective, and is based upon faculty review of the statement of intent, portfolio and undergraduate record of each applicant.
