SMU Mathematics Department
Graduate Program in Computational
and Applied Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics generally starts new classes of graduate
students in the fall semester.
However, depending on budget constraints and student qualifications, we
sometimes do start students in the spring semester.
If you are interested in matriculating in the spring, please contact the
Director of Graduate Studies before
submitting your application to see if this is a possibility.
Online Application
Please apply online at
SMU website for prospective graduate students.
Decisions regarding admission will only be made based on a submitted
complete application. The GRE exam is required but the mathematics
subject test is not (SMU's GRE code is 6660). International students
applying from countries where English is not
the native language are required to provide scores on the Test of
English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
If you have any further questions about the M.S. or Ph.D. programs
in Computational and Applied Mathematics, please contact the
Mathematics Department.
