Welcome

We look forward to meeting with you at the 2010 Finite Element Rodeo at SMU, which should offer faculty, post-doctoral researchers, and advanced graduate students in Applied and Computational Mathematics in the region an opportunity to present and exchange ideas. 


Please let us know if you will be coming at your earliest convenience so that we may plan accordingly (see "Registration" at right).


Meeting Details

The meeting will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 5, and should end by 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 6.  Talks will be held on the SMU campus in the Fondren Science Building, room 133 on Friday, and room 123 on Saturday.


Dinner on Friday evening will be in the Taubman Atrium, located in the Owen Arts Center, at 6101 Bishop Blvd.  Dinner for rodeo attendees is included in the registration fee; tickets for guests are $35 each.


Lunch on Saturday will be in the SMU Hall of Champions, located in the Loyd All-Sports Center, at 5800 Ownby Dr.

Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Radisson Hotel Central Dallas

6060 N. Central Expy, Dallas, TX 75206.

The rooms have been saved under the event name “Finite Element Rodeo”, and must be reserved by February 18 to be guaranteed at the conference rate ($99/night). 


The hotel is a short 10 minute walk to campus, and offers free parking to hotel guests.
