2010 Grants

The Friends of the SMU Libraries Grants Committee met on April 27, 2010 to review grant proposals submitted by the libraries. The committee was chaired by Judy McMillin and included Valentina Doyon, Joanne Pratt and Harold Stanley. Amy Carver was ex-officio. The following grants were approved by the committee:


Central University Libraries
Purchase a digital microforms scanner for Fondren Library Center.


DeGolyer Library
Add to the Colophon Collection of modern American literature.


Central University Libraries
Archive Capital Fee for the JSTOR Health and General Sciences Collection.


CUL Development
Challenge grant for the Fall 2010 CUL Telephony telemarketing campaign.


DeGolyer Library and the SMU Archives
Pilot project to digitize the earliest years of the student newspaper, The Campus


Hamon Arts Library
Acquire a facsimile of the Códice MurúĂșa.


DeGolyer Library Photography Department
Purchase Civil War photographs.


Hamon Arts Library
Digitization of audio recordings.


Jerry Bywaters Special Collections of the Hamon Arts Library
Conservation of 36 works of art on paper by noted Texas regionalist artist Merritt Mauzey.

Purchase the American Library Association's Read DVD
