Master of Science in Counseling Program

Where the Pieces Come Together

Students will acquire the knowledge in the disciplines that underlie counseling - education, human development, learning, psychology, sociology and social change. The basic skills in therapy and assessment will be developed along with becoming acquainted with the legal and clinical considerations confronting practitioners. Students will then practice these skills until mastery is achieved.

The Master of Science in Counseling degree requires the completion of 54 credit hours, written and oral comprehensive exams, and an internship. A full-time student can complete the program in two years.  Classes are delivered over 10-week terms. Evening, weekend and some weekday formats are available.
