LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE PROGRAM  WORKSHOP SUMMARIES for FALL 2007

Workshops have the purpose of providing students with relevant knowledge and information pertaining to the area of leadership.  They essentially serve as the core of the Leadership Certificate Program because they provide an environment in which you can learn sound methods that will help you to become a better leader; and not to mention the exposure you’ll have to current and established leaders from within our community.  Similar to your local gym, which provides a variety of weights to strengthen different muscles of your physical body when used properly; each leadership workshop will serve as a gym, providing you with weights (i.e. leadership wisdom and knowledge), along with sound methods for properly using the weights, such that after continual use, your leadership body will be much stronger.

Workshop speakers are typically current professors, administrators, staff, and other SMU representatives.  Speakers not affiliated with SMU will also serve as workshop presenters on occasion.

Note: Workshop topics for the dates listed without a speaker may change; however, the dates for the workshops will not change.

All workshops will occur in Atriums AB of the Hughes-Trigg Student Center from 5:00 PM-6:00 PM.
