Study Abroad Scholarships
Studying abroad is an integral part of the Latin American and Iberian Studies and all majors are strongly encouraged to do it. The SMU-in-Spain (Fall and Spring) and SMU-in-Xalapa (Summer) programs provide students with a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the richness and complexity of Spanish and Mexican culture. In addition, courses taught in both programs include Latin American history, art, language, and politics. The majority of students who took part in these programs in the past have consistently given them high ratings.
