Making Content Available with iTunes U
Content Availablity
We
get lots of question about restricting the podcasts availability on iTunes
U. While, we prefer to make everything public, that might not be your preference.
As part of our release forms for SMU on iTunes, we have a few choices for content
availability. Here is the breakdown:
No restriction as to distribution
This is our broadest category of distribution. This allows us to post your content, not only to iTunes U, but include it for possible consideration for SMU's YouTube site or featured on the SMU web site. You content will be able to be viewed and downloaded by anyone.
iTunes U Public access
This will allow your content to be available for viewing and download not only to your students, but students at other universities, and to the general public.
iTunes U Campus-only access
This will allow anyone with an SMU ID to view and download your podcast.
iTunes U through Course Management System
This will allow only those enrolled in your Blackboard course to view and download your podcast.
