2000

ISEM has scheduled a range of speakers and events for 2000, headlined by the “Iran @ 2000 and Beyond” Lecture Series. “Iran @ 2000 and Beyond” will be a timely and informative lecture series and an important forum, because it will expose oil industry executives and other business leaders to expert speakers who will analyze the current socio-economic and political conditions in Iran and the U.S. sanctions policy directed toward Iran.

Sacred Spaces photo, copyright Carolyn Brown.ISEM is also a sponsor of “Sacred Space: Man and the Divine in Mexico, Central America, and the Southwestern United States.” This international exhibit features photo murals of the sacred landscapes and ceremonial architecture of the ancient and modern people of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and the American Southwest. The exhibit will be accompanied by text from ISEM-affiliated scholars and with English- and Spanish-language educational materials for fifth- through seventh-grade students.
