Tim Severin, featured speaker, gave an illustrated talk on his book In Search of Moby Dick: The Quest for the White Whale.
Tim Severin is a resident of County Cork, Ireland. He is a noted author and explorer who has written numerous books about his journeys to retrace legendary travels on such topics as Moby Dick, Marco Polo, and Sinbad the Sailor. His work appears regularly in the National Geographic Magazine and his voyages have been the subject of award-winning documentary films and a major BBC documentary series.
