SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

An SMU education is possible.

Several University merit scholarships are available to international students who are admitted to SMU and maintain required grade-point averages during their academic careers. These awards include the following:

  • President's Scholarships (full tuition)
  • Dean's Scholarships (half tuition)
  • SMU Scholarships and University Scholarships
  • Mustang Awards
  • J. Lindsay Embrey Academic Excellence Scholarships and Honors Scholarships (for engineering students)

Other scholarship and grant money may be available.

Campus Work Programs

International students are eligible for campus jobs that are funded by the University and not through government money (federal, state, or local).

Students may work at an on-campus job up to 20 hours per week during the spring and fall terms.
