IELTS Test Registration - On-line or Mailed Methods

Application Requirements (On-Line Method):

STEP 2:  SEND VIA EMAIL 3-P’s

 

PLEASE NOTE: Within 5 days, please scan and attach the (3-P's)

The email should include the following information and attachments:   (3-P's)

  •  PHOTO    (2" x 2") that has been taken within the last 6 months   (JPG FORMAT)
  •  PASSPORT          (PDF FORMAT)

MUST INCLUDE Page(s) showing your name, photo, identifiable information, signature and expiration date.

                     Other payment options include: MAIL MONEY ORDER or CASHIERS CHECK.

                                      Payment must be made to: SMU IELTS Test Center

                                                       (NO PERSONAL CHECKS)

 

Upon receipt of (3-P's) you will receive a TEST ADMISSION TICKET via email. 



Application Requirements (Mailed Method):

  • Fully completed official IELTS Application Form. All 4 pages of the application form must be fully completed and mailed. Page 4 must include signature and date. Pages i, ii, iii and iv should be retained by the candidate and not submitted. Please read IELTS Notice To Candidates (pg. i). Please read IELTS Information for Candidates for answers to all your questions regarding the IELTS test prior to your scheduled test day.
  • Two passport-sized photos attached to the application form as indicated. Both the photos must be the same image, be the same passport-size, have been taken in the last six months, and have a white background. Digital or digitally scanned photos are not acceptable.
  • A photocopy of your passport required with application form. The passport must be the same document that has been indicated on your application form. The passport must be valid and unexpired. Make a photocopy of the page(s) containing the photo, date of birth, passport number, date of expiry, and signature (if any). If your passport contains a current extension stamp, please also include a photocopy of that page. No other form of identification is accepted you must bring your passport the day of the exam.
  • Test fee payment. The test fee payment is currently $170 USD. The only forms of payment that are accepted are money order, cashier's check (made payable to SMU IELTS Test Center), or Credit Card Payment Form (Visa/MasterCard).

 



Note: Personal Checks Are Not accepted.

Incomplete Applications: If incomplete applications are received there will be a delay in processing and confirming your test date.

Examples of an incomplete application include: questions on the application form not completed, application form not signed, passport photos submitted with a red or green background, digital photos submitted, no photocopy of relevant passport page(s) submitted, photocopy of an expired passport submitted, payment made by personal check.

Any of these examples or others as noted above will result in the return of the candidate’s application. Candidates will not be registered and confirmed for a test date until a correct and complete application is submitted. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding these requirements.
