Carson McCain

Carson is a Junior from Decatur, Texas. She is pursuing a degree in Theatre Studies with a minor in Psychology.


High School Leadership Activities & Experiences:

  • Competing at the state level One Act Play competition
  • Part of the State Champion Mock Trial team

  • Cast in 2 SMU main-stage productions
  • Elected SMU Student Theatre Producer
  • Stagemanaging and Acting in multiple SMU Student Theatre Productions
  • Currently directing an SMU Student Theatre Production

What do you like most about being a Hunt Scholar?

What I like most about being a Hunt Scholar is the emphasis the program places on experiential learning. One example of this is the allotted amount set aside for Study Abroad programs, where I learned the most valuable lessons so far in my experience at SMU. I never would have been able to do this without the generosity of the Hunt family.
