My name is Rachel Stonecipher and I am a cinema-television major, with minors in human rights and cultural anthropology. Over winter break, I plan to travel with the Embrey Human Rights Program to the Arizona-Mexico border to conduct an independent study of international health issues in migration. Hopefully, my adventures will be chronicled in a documentary project to accompany the resulting report. The active human rights community at SMU has already encouraged me to become involved in multiple avenues for change, including SMU Amnesty International and the DFW Human Rights Campaign.
